Gas Cooker Repair Dubai – Hob, Oven & Ignition Fixed at Your Home

Burners that won’t light, an oven that won’t hold its heat, a flame that drops out when you let go of the knob? Al Karama Technical LLC sends a trained technician to your kitchen anywhere in Dubai, usually the same day. We test the whole cooker, give you a fixed price before any work starts, and leak-test every connection before we leave.

Gas cooker repair Dubai: the quick answer

Al Karama Technical LLC repairs freestanding gas cookers, range cookers and dual-fuel cookers across Dubai. Because a cooker is heavy and connected to the gas supply, we repair it in your kitchen rather than asking you to move it. Most faults are fixed in one visit of 1 to 2 hours: hob burners, ignition, oven burner, thermostat, flame safety device, door seal, hose and regulator. Every job ends with a leak test and a flame check.

Gas cooker repair near me, without the guesswork

A gas cooker is really two appliances in one body: a hob on top and an oven underneath, sharing one gas supply and one ignition system. That’s why a fault in one part often shows up in the other, and why it needs someone who understands both.

If you’re searching for gas cooker repair near me, our technicians cover every part of Dubai and arrive with the parts that fail most: igniter electrodes, spark modules, thermocouples, oven thermostats, burner caps, valves, door seals, hoses and regulators. Since 2015 we’ve worked on everything from compact 50 cm cookers in apartments to 90 cm ranges in villas and restaurant kitchens.

We test before we replace anything, explain the fault in plain language, and agree the price with you first.

One cooker, two repairs: hob and oven

A proper gas cooker repair looks at both halves of the appliance, even if only one is misbehaving.

The hob (top burners)Cooking oil and boiled-over food block the small ports around each burner and the jet beneath it. The flame shrinks, turns yellow or lights on one side only.
  • Deep clean of caps, heads, ports and jets
  • Igniter electrodes, switches and spark module
  • Gas valves, taps and stiff or broken knobs
  • Thermocouples on hobs with flame safety
  • Air adjustment for a steady blue flame
The oven and grill (below)The oven has its own burner, igniter, thermostat and safety valve, hidden behind the floor panel. Faults here show up as slow heating, uneven baking or an oven that lights and then goes out.
  • Oven and grill burner cleaning or replacement
  • Oven igniter and flame failure device
  • Thermostat testing and replacement
  • Door seal, hinges and inner glass
  • Oven lamp, fan and rotisserie motor

Why a yellow flame matters

A healthy gas flame is blue and steady. When it turns yellow or orange, or leaves black marks on your pans and around the oven, the gas isn’t burning completely.

That wastes gas, but it’s also a safety matter. The UK Health and Safety Executive lists yellow or orange flames and soot staining among the warning signs that a gas appliance may be producing carbon monoxide.

So if the flame on your cooker has changed colour and cleaning the burner hasn’t helped, stop using that burner, keep the kitchen ventilated and book a visit. In most cases the fix is simple: a clean, the right jets and an air adjustment.

Gas cooker repair shop near me: do I need to bring it in?

People searching for a gas cooker repair shop near me often expect to load the cooker into a car. You don’t need to, and you shouldn’t.

The cooker stays where it is. A freestanding cooker weighs 40 kg or more and is connected to a gas line. Disconnecting and carrying it risks damaging the hose, the valves and your floor. Our technician repairs it in your kitchen and tests it on your own gas supply, which is the only way to be sure it’s safe.

The shop is there when it helps. Our workshop in Al Karama is where we keep parts stock, and you’re welcome to bring in a removable part such as a burner cap, knob or pan support to match, or drop by to talk a repair through.

How much does gas cooker repair cost in Dubai?

It depends on the fault and the part. Cleaning burners or replacing an igniter is a small job. Thermostats, safety valves and oven burners cost more, and imported range cookers use dearer parts. Our technician diagnoses the cooker first and gives you a fixed quote before starting, with no hidden charges. If a repair isn’t worth it on an old cooker, we’ll tell you.

As a guide, here’s how long common repairs take:

RepairTypical timeNotes
Hob burner clean and flame adjustment30–60 minutesFixes most weak, uneven and yellow flames
Igniter electrode, switch or spark module30–60 minutesStops constant clicking and no-spark faults
Thermocouple or flame failure device45–90 minutesFor flames that go out when you release the knob
Oven burner or oven igniter60–90 minutesOven floor panel removed for access
Oven thermostat60–90 minutesModel-specific; some need ordering
Door seal and hinges30–60 minutesRestores even baking and saves gas
Hose and regulator30–45 minutesIncludes a full leak test

Simple care that prevents most repairs

  • Wipe spills once the cooker is cool, before they bake onto the burners.
  • Lift off the burner caps weekly and clear the ports with a soft brush.
  • Dry burners and igniters fully after washing. Damp igniters click non-stop.
  • Clean the oven floor so spills don’t block the oven burner.
  • Check the door seal and the gas hose for cracks every few months.
  • Book a professional service every 6 to 12 months.

What you should not do yourself

  • Don’t drill or enlarge the jets. It makes the flame unsafe.
  • Don’t test for leaks with a flame. Soapy water on the joints shows bubbles safely.
  • Don’t tape or seal a leaking hose. Replace it.
  • Don’t line the oven floor with foil. It can block the burner and vents.
  • Don’t pull the cooker out or disconnect the gas line yourself.

Gas cooker repair FAQs

Straight answers to the questions Dubai customers ask us most about gas cooker repair.

It depends on the fault and the part. Cleaning burners or replacing an igniter costs much less than a thermostat, safety valve or oven burner. We diagnose first and give you a fixed quote before any work starts.

Usually the igniter is wet or dirty, the burner ports are blocked or the spark module has failed. On cookers with a plug, check the socket is on, because the ignition needs electricity. If it still won’t spark, the igniter or switch needs replacing.

The flame failure device isn’t sensing the flame, so it shuts the gas off. The thermocouple is usually worn or out of position. It’s a quick part to replace and the oven shouldn’t be used until it’s done.

A faulty thermostat, a worn door seal or a partly blocked oven burner are the usual causes. We test the oven temperature against the dial and replace whichever part is at fault.

Turn off the gas at the cylinder or isolation valve, open windows and doors, and don’t use switches, sockets or flames. Leave the room and call your gas supplier’s emergency line or Dubai Civil Defence on 997. Book the repair once the area is safe.

Our workshop is at Shop #1, Building G4, Sheikh Hamdan Colony, Al Karama. Cookers are repaired at your home because they’re heavy and connected to gas, but you can bring small parts to the shop to match.

Most repairs take 1 to 2 hours and are finished in one visit. If a brand-specific part has to be ordered, we make the cooker safe and return to fit it.

In most cases, yes. Call or WhatsApp early in the day and we can usually send a technician the same day. Safety faults get priority.

Often, yes. Gas cookers are mechanically simple, and igniters, thermocouples and seals are inexpensive. If the body is badly rusted or several major parts have failed, we’ll tell you honestly that replacement makes more sense.

All major brands, including Bosch, Siemens, Ariston, Indesit, Beko, Electrolux, Midea, Glem Gas, Tecnogas, Terim, Smeg, Bompani, La Germania and Super General.

Yes. LPG and piped gas need different jets and settings. We fit the correct jets, adjust the flames and leak-test the connection.
