Electric stove repair near me, wherever you are in Dubai

Most Dubai apartments are built with an electric hob, usually a ceramic or induction glass top set into the worktop. They’re clean and easy to use, but when one zone stops heating or the whole hob goes dead, cooking at home stops with it.

If you’re searching for electric stove repair near me, our technicians cover every part of Dubai and carry the parts that fail most: heating elements, energy regulators, burner switches, sensors, terminal blocks and control boards. Since 2015 we’ve repaired everything from single-plate hotplates to five-zone induction hobs and commercial electric ranges.

Electric stoves run on a high-current supply, so we isolate the power, test each circuit properly and never guess with parts.

Every type of electric stove repaired

Each type heats differently and fails differently, so the repair starts with knowing which one you have.

Coil & solid-plate stoves

Exposed spiral elements or cast-iron plates. Simple and tough, usually fixed by replacing the element, socket or switch.

Ceramic glass hobs

Radiant elements under smooth glass. Common faults are a failed element, limiter or cracked glass.

Induction hobs

Heat the pan directly with a magnetic field. Faults are usually electronic: boards, coils, sensors or fans.

Electric cookers & ranges

Freestanding cookers with an electric hob and oven, including commercial ranges.

Common electric stove problems we fix

These are the faults we see most on electric stoves in Dubai, what usually causes them, and how we repair them.

ProblemMost likely causeHow we fix it
One burner or zone not heatingBurnt-out element, loose connection, failed switch or energy regulatorTest and replace the element, repair the connection, fit a new switch
Burner stuck on full heatFaulty energy regulator (infinite switch)Replace the regulator for that zone
Whole hob deadTripped breaker, isolator off, burnt terminal block, failed power boardCheck the supply, replace the terminal block or power board
Hob trips the breakerElement shorting to earth, moisture under the glass, damaged wiringInsulation test, replace the faulty element or wiring
Touch controls not respondingWet or dirty panel, child lock on, failed touch control boardClean and reset, or replace the touch board
Cracked or chipped glassImpact, or a hot pan on a weak spotReplace the glass top. Don't use the hob until it's done
Induction zone won't detect the panPan isn't magnetic or is too small, or a faulty coil or sensorCheck the cookware, then test the coil, sensor and board
Induction hob cuts out or shows an errorOverheating from a blocked fan or vent, or a sensor or board faultClean the fan and vents, test sensors, repair the board
Coil sparks or glows unevenlyDamaged element or burnt socketReplace the coil and its socket
Indicator light stays onStuck switch or a residual-heat sensor faultReplace the switch or sensor
Stop using the hob and switch it off at the cooker isolator if the glass is cracked, a coil is sparking, you smell burning, or the breaker keeps tripping. Liquid getting through cracked glass can reach live parts.

Electric stove burner repair

When one burner stops working and the others are fine, the fault is nearly always in that burner’s own circuit. Our electric stove burner repair covers each part of it:

  • The heating element. Coils burn out or blister. Radiant elements under ceramic glass break their filament. Both are replaced with the correct size and wattage.
  • The socket or terminals. On coil stoves, a burnt receptacle causes a burner that works only when you wiggle it.
  • The switch or energy regulator. This is the control behind the knob. When it fails, the burner stays off, or stays on full.
  • The temperature limiter. On ceramic hobs, a failed limiter makes the zone cut out early or not heat at all.
  • The wiring. Heat makes connections brittle over time. We check and re-terminate any that have overheated.

We test each part with a meter, so you pay for the one that has actually failed and not a set of parts fitted in hope.

Induction hob repair: often it's the pan, not the hob

Induction hobs confuse a lot of people the first time they use one. There’s no element heating up. The hob creates a magnetic field, and the pan itself becomes the hot part. That means a zone will refuse to start if the pan isn’t right, and it looks exactly like a fault.

Before you book a repair, try this. Hold a fridge magnet to the base of the pan. The U.S. Department of Energy notes that any flat-bottomed pan a magnet sticks to will work on an induction cooktop. If the magnet falls off, the pan is the problem. Aluminium, copper and some stainless steel pans won’t work.

If the pan is fine and the hob still misbehaves, these are the real faults we repair:

  • A zone that flashes or shows a pan symbol with a suitable pan on it (coil or sensor fault)
  • The hob switching itself off after a few minutes (cooling fan blocked or failed)
  • No power to one side of the hob (power board or filter board fault)
  • Touch controls locked or beeping (moisture, or a failed control board)
  • Loud buzzing on every pan, not just light ones (coil or board fault)

Induction hobs are well worth repairing. The parts cost far less than a new hob, and a working induction zone heats faster and wastes less energy than any other type.

How much does electric stove repair cost in Dubai?

It depends on the hob type and the part. A coil element or switch is a small job. Induction boards and glass tops cost more. Our technician diagnoses first and gives you a fixed quote before starting, with no hidden charges.

As a guide, here’s how long common repairs take:

RepairTypical timeNotes
Coil element or socket replacement30–45 minutesUsually done on the first visit
Ceramic hob element or limiter45–90 minutesHob lifted out, element replaced and tested
Switch or energy regulator30–60 minutesFixes burners stuck off or on full
Touch control or power board1–2 hoursBoard may need ordering for some models
Induction coil, sensor or fan1–2 hoursIncludes full zone test afterwards
Hob glass replacement1–2 hours once the glass arrivesGlass is model-specific and usually ordered

Repair or replace? Elements, switches, sensors and most boards are well worth repairing. If the glass is cracked on a low-cost hob, compare the glass price with a new hob first. We’ll give you both numbers so you can decide.

Care that prevents most electric stove repairs

  • Wipe spills once the hob is cool. Sugar and syrup should be scraped off while still warm, as they can pit the glass.
  • Use flat-bottomed pans that match the zone size.
  • Lift pans. Don’t slide them across the glass.
  • Keep the touch panel dry, and don’t leave wet cloths on it.
  • Don’t block the vents under an induction hob.
  • On coil stoves, replace worn drip pans rather than lining them with foil.

What you should not do yourself

  • Don’t use a hob with cracked glass, even on the “good” zones.
  • Don’t open the hob or remove the base panel. Capacitors on induction boards can hold a charge.
  • Don’t keep resetting a breaker that trips when the hob is on.
  • Don’t swap in a higher-wattage element than the original.
  • Don’t disconnect a hard-wired hob from the cooker outlet yourself.

Electric stove repair FAQs

Straight answers to the questions Dubai customers ask us most about electric stove repair.

It depends on the hob type and the part. Coil elements and switches are small jobs, while induction boards and glass tops cost more. We diagnose first and give you a fixed quote before any work starts.

Usually the heating element for that zone has burnt out, the switch or energy regulator behind the knob has failed, or a connection has come loose. Each is tested with a meter so only the faulty part is replaced.

An element is probably shorting to earth, or moisture has got under the glass. Stop using the hob, switch it off at the cooker isolator and book a repair. Repeated resets can be unsafe.

No. Liquid can pass through the crack and reach live parts underneath. Switch the hob off at the isolator and have the glass replaced before using it again.

Induction only works with magnetic cookware. If a fridge magnet sticks to the base, the pan is suitable. If the pan is fine and the zone still won’t start, the coil, sensor or control board needs testing.

Check the panel is dry and clean and that child lock isn’t on. Switching the hob off at the isolator for a few minutes often resets it. If the controls still don’t respond, the touch board has likely failed.

Most repairs take 1 to 2 hours and are finished in one visit. Glass tops and some control boards are model-specific and may need to be ordered.
